Technology stack
For the front end, Angular was used, with bilingual interface, over NodeJs server. The web based app needed to resemble a mobile App as much as possible for its early version to reduce overhead of updates. Thus PWA techniques were implemented, and Firebase Messaging was used to enable desktop notifications for messages sent from teacher to parents of child. The interface was intentionally simple and allowed adding a teacher, a child, a parent and a class from any other context. The application is mobile friendly and can be installed as a chrome app on desktop and added on home screen on mobile.
