Leaf & Lawn focuses on the concept and the idea of machismo and relationship. Gabriel Dawe’s philosophy plays a very important role in the concept of Leaf & Lawn and was greatly inspired by it.

Leaf & Lawn is a gardening tool kit that encourages people to continue their hobby of gardening especially men. It is about your identity and the balance of life between the feminine and masculine. Gardening has always been stereotype as a feminine hobby. Therefore, it serves as a message and a reminder that you define yourself and it is not up to the society to decide who you are or what you do.
The name Leaf & Lawn derive from the concept of being true to yourself (inspired by Gabriel Dawe’s philosophy) and the concept of relationship. Leaf identifies a plant; each plant has different type of veins on their leaf. Their vein is similar to our fingerprint. And each plant has it’s own meaning and is usually define by their leaf. Therefore, it marks their own identity. With these, it set as a reminder to people that we decide our own identity.
