Chichen itza is one of the most visited tourist attractions in Mexico. Until just two years ago this was a privately owned archaeological zone. Having been purchased by the Government the area is now much more fenced off and the ruins far better protected. 

I had a few friends come to join me in Mexico and we went out for a day trip. The weather was rather pleasant and we had a great day overall. The light was rather sharp and the photos are mainly for memory sake but still rather interesting for anyone that has not yet been able to visit this sacrificed place.
