Title: LOBSTER TELEPHONE & STANDING UP FOR A CHANGE
Artist: Salonga, Wency Lawreece P.
Medium: Photoshopped
Date Created: 07/11/2021

Description of your artwork:
The Civil Rights movement is one of the most important events for
black Americans that helped transform the history of the United
States. It aimed to draw attention to all of the limitations that the
US government had not legitimized.

I chose to combine these photos as they both represent pain,
dominance, and restoration.

As I have observed in Dali's Lobster Telephone, His fears of being
dominated by a woman can be greatly associated with the movement. In
view of the fact that the movement has been led by women and has
fought for their full benefits during that era.

I believe that this work is empowering, giving justice to the saying
that "Thinking will not overcome fear but action will."
