The Eden of Happiness
Starting the 2022 I went to Valencia and one night I came across a fair, the typical fair. It was already night and the overall look of the scene was beautiful, colored lights, smells, sounds, laughs and happiness. But at one point I started to notice the people who served and worked on the different premises of games and food; and I decided to photograph them. Slowly people left and the locals began to be empty; yet they remained, the ones who prevail in the fair to the end, those who make it possible and live from it, waiting until the last moment for a chance to sell one last game or one last cotton candy. The images turned out speaking about nostalgia, about that promise of "happy place" that in the end, when turned off, cease to be. I ended up building a series about the end of the Eden of Happiness.
Thank you.
