Spotify - Made To Be Found




At Active Theory, we worked with Spotify to create 'Made To Be Found' - a guide for artists to explore how fans find - and fall in love with - music on Spotify. The project details how music goes from distribution and playlist pitching, to three key pathways to reaching listeners: editorial curation by Spotify, personalized algorithmic recommendations, and fan-led streaming, like adding songs to personal playlists. 

Using up-and-coming artists and recognisable playlist artworks in a variety of graphical representations, we aimed to capture attention through visual intrigue. This, along with clear explanations for a better understanding of the process to S4A users, gives artists an overall engaging learning experience.
