HOME is a personal project that explores my relationship to this concept.

I’ve always had a complicated relationship to the concept of home. Growing up I did not always have a stable one and throughout my twenties this persisted. Now in my mid-thirties, I’ve spent the last three years living in 7 sublets between two continents amidst the pandemic. When the plans of creating a home with my partner this year ended with our breakup, not only was this painful but the concept of home seemed to endlessly taunt me.

How can I condense and capture the essence of what ‘home’ means to me? How can I get a sense of security and comfort of ‘home’ when I’m living in someone else’s? How can I easily carry and transport my ‘home’ when I’m living out of a suitcase?

I selected items that I associate with home and family, comfort and love and created still life posters that can be placed on a USB or printed and carried with me anywhere, providing a small piece of comfort whenever and wherever I may need it.
