The first turtle in this series was Raphael. I didn't have a plan in place but once he was done I had to do the other 3.

Trying to re-create the feel of the first one was the hardest part of these ink wash test. Being inspired by the original comic however, I wanted each Turtle to have their own distinct feel when it came to their wash. Don't feel like that was achieved.

The thing I love most about the original Black and White Turtles is how they blend in as a team (all in red bandana's) only to be identified by their

weapon of choice.

I don't see too many images where Leo is only using one Katana so...one Katana it is.

An idea I had when I was considering using color but...I didn't like the use of the typical Saturday morning cartoon colors for a background.
