( KASHIDA SHELVES ) Design in cooperation with Al Qalam
Supported by Creative Design Incubator - Nilepreneurs initiative - QNB
The best gift for Arabic calligraphy lovers .
All writings are original written by the calligrapher Islam Ramadan Al Saeid
The idea is to make products stemming from the original Arabic calligraphy, so there were several attempts to make the product clear to the non-professional in the Arabic language and to make easy words that could be read easily.
Initial sketches of the design and attempts to make the 3dmodel
Thinking about manufacturing and the possibilities available
What ( Kashida ) mean ?
Kashida or Kasheeda is a type of justification in the Arabic language and in some descendant cursive scripts. In contrast to white-space justification, which increases the length of a line of text by expanding spaces between words or individual letters, kasheeda creates justification by elongating characters at certain points. Kasheeda justification can be combined with white-space justification.
The analog in European (Latin-based) typography (expanding or contracting letters to improve spacing) is sometimes called expansion, and falls within microtypography. Kasheeda is considerably easier and more flexible, however, because Arabic-Persian scripts feature prominent horizontal strokes, whose lengths are accordingly flexible.

The words used are all words related to reading , and books
And try to put the letter( Alif ) or ( Laam) to be a support for books.
Final Design
The idea is to make shelves from the whole itself, and the word is not an decoration for the shelf, and we used (kashida) in Arabic calligraphy to do this.
Starting manufacturing, solving problems, choosing materials and colors.
