since 2021, we as the faculty of design have been presenting the work of our fellow students in a complex exhibition and show every year. yet, the event Ā»die werkschau mannheimĀ« alreday had to be cancelled twice. Instead the werkschaumagazin was established as part of a transmedial concept to celebrate and honor the versatile ideas and works of our faculty.
in keeping with the current turbulent times of upheaval and remote study, the magazine Ā»_bruchĀ« (en. break/ rupture/ fraction/ violation/ā¦) deals with all kinds of Ā»fracturesĀ«: chronologically, the chapters lead us through the last two years from interrupting to study and work to the current spirit of optimism of no longer waiting for pandemic events to happen, but daring to be creative innovators.
as students of the faculty of design at mannheim university of applied sciences, we would like to show: even four semesters of remote study haven't stopped us from bubbling over with ideas and zest for action!
