In Summer of 2020, in the heat of lockdown, I finished this piece for a single I had been working on. The song is about how we are ignoring the world crumbling around us as we try to make it through our day to day lives. Naturally, these visuals aid the song nicely.
PROCESS

Initially, the process was simply a lot of masking in Photoshop with the source images. Very quickly, I realized that a 2D workflow was not going to be enough. This is where Cinema 4D came to the rescue.
Cutout image used on a plane object for proper scale and composition.
Title blocks are place on another plane to get correct reflections. Image card placed in background to show full composition.
A special thank you to KitBash3D and to Jonathan Bogart (Renafox on sketchfab). Without  both of these resources, I would not have been able to create this piece as easy.
Adding in building blocks and fine tuning blurred reflection on table.
Final check before rendering with Arnold.
Final with text.
Thanks for making it to the end!
