Here's my concept for a Thracian mercenary warrior. Thracians were clanish, and each clan had separate king and army. The different patterns of their cloaks can be used as visual indicator of the clan. Constant wars between the clans made them good soldiers, but also vulnerable to external aggression. As a result, many were enslaved, while others turned to piracy and anarchy. However, there are some heroic Thracians, for example the rebel Spartacus.
