A friend of mine, Andrew Halley, who is a digital film major at Ringling College of Art & Design was just beginning to film his junior thesis early in the fall semester in 2012. Andrew came to me and asked if I could develop a poster design for the film that was his own adaptation of the story 'The Great Zombini.' The Poster was after completion was printed to be 27" x 40" and is currently hanging in the digital film building at Ringling. Above is the finished poster.

Toolkit:

Canon T3I
Adobe Photoshop / Bridge
Process Work
The photos of the actor were taken on a green screen and shot using HDRI settings. This allowed me to take 3 shots of the same scene with different light and shadow ranges that could then be manipulated later in Adobe Photoshop using Adobe Bridge.

COMPOSITE
I made the font myself thinking of what the film's themes were. The film was about mystery and things not being what they seemed. So I wanted to design a font that could reflect these themes with both smooth and sharp edges and textured to look as if it was chipping away like paint. I believe I was fairly successful in doing this. To get the 'chipped' look, I first made the font clean and then transferred it using blending markers. I then scanned in the results and painted it in photoshop. Below is the finished pass for the font.
