Studying the Spatial elements and motifs, and then resembling the entire board through a form of a furniture piece was a very interesting task. I was very fascinated by the intricate details and the structural aspects of the space, and thus tried putting the same in my furniture piece. The board shows the study behind the Furniture , and the process of its makeover is been displayed below.
The furniture was supposed to be placed in the chowk, which is supposed to be the most active area in the Bohra house. This stool provides a seating for vendors and passerby as well as provides the user with convenice by wearing shoes as it will be placed near a shoerack.
Every furniture needs to to have a sense of visual connection with the space as well as within itself. Besides being functionally and aesthically sound, it should have a strong pattern of communication. The texture of the fabric and the pattern of the jali gives the stool a form of language and style and thus gives it a charachter.
