Who is the client?
    Otto Von Stroheim was born and raised in the suburbs of Los Angeles. He launched Tiki News  Zine to chronicle his Tiki travels and network the Tiki community. He started a tradition of hosting art exhibits for the cover artists of Tiki News and later curated art shows of his Tiki Art Now! series. 
 
What is Tiki Culture? 
    Historically and geographically, Tiki is defined by Polynesian
culture it is the genre inspired by 1930s to 1950s Hawaiian and
Polynesian pop styles that blends the cultures types of drinks, food and décor.

    Park Slope, Brooklyn is family orriented as well with a hint of the urban communities surrounding it. Like most areas in Brooklyn in the day it is relatively safe, is has a mix of brownstone classic with a touch of new commerce, very commerical, family like and lively.

    Tiki-Kai is a specialty food market located in Park Slope Brooklyn. The market itself is an experience starting from the outside with its giant, bold, and imaginative store front. Within its wall Tiki-Kai transports the public in a land of graphic and bright patterns. Each of the three floors is specific a group of products ie. packaged goods, deli, fresh fruits. 
 
What should this brand be/not be?
    This brand should educate people on the Tiki culture as well
giving them an experience of a fun and creative environment. It should not be boring and it should most definitely not be lacking in the Tiki coolness or cliché.
