The culture of seduction in parallel to the seduction of culture like the two opposite ends of the spectrum that wrap around each other, define the rise and fall of modern society in relation to diachronic human values. The proclivity of nowadays intellectuals to substitute high cultural ideals for an empirical and democratic politics, which masks civic responsibility, on the one hand, and the mass media propaganda, on the other, which utilizes the power of visual communication, compose the two sides of the coin. The seduction of culture, as an exalted notion of culture over politics, can become a deceiving political statement shaping public life and politics. The culture of seduction, as a mechanism of attraction, can create uninformed citizens who are easily manipulated in making irrational choices and thus undermines democracy.
