Visual representation of 2021

For my visual representation of 2021, I chose to incorporate a clock with a rollercoaster and waves. I first chose to put waves because 2021 had many ups and downs and unpredictable. The ocean's waves are unpredictable too, so thats where I found the connection. I decided to warp the ocean waves to be more accurate with how year went for me like a timeline from left to right. When the water curves down it means that is when the year got worse and up when the year got better. The rollercoaster and the people riding it represent me going through the year full of ups and downs. I also chose a rollercoaster because of the metaphor that "life is like a rollercoaster". The rollercoaster is coming out of the clock because it is showing me splashing into the new year and going on a new adventure. The clock is there to show that 2021 felt like a long tie and also fills up most of the page to show that the clock is what I have been looking at most to see when the year would end. Because the clock is also faded it symbolizes the countdown in the back of my head at all times. The rocky background also was there to show how dramatic the year has been and the darker edges show that all fading away.
