Zakes Bantwini
I have observed this artist/businessman's moves for a while now. There was, however, a time where I saw him as being so far behind the scenes that I thought he would never release music for this current 'generation'. At least not from the forefront. But something amazing happened in 2021, where he played a song that rocked the youth (and practically the country) by storm. I have never seen anything like it.
In any case, I wanted to do an honorary portrait of Zakes Bantwini because his moves are the representation of possibility for me, and this piece was the least I could do to honour this legendary figure.
