I have drawn these characters multiple times, starting with the racing arcade's driver Clem-Engine which I created for my college project lemon's arcade, I modeled a 3D arcade room in Maya. The skater boys are from another illustration I did a while ago and the pink-haired girl is from a digital painting tutorial (she was also inspired by a song by my friend Daniel Riascos from @theboisprod it's called "Stardust"). I like thinking that my characters could interact with each other in some kind of universe, I mostly draw kids or young people in places like this one (lemon’s arcade or a skate park. Maybe in a whole neighborhood).

 

I care a lot that they tell a story and they embody a personality.

 

For this piece, I reused some 3d models of arcade machines for the background. Then I textured it in substance painter and add the lighting and rendered it in Marmoset toolbag.

 

Then I corrected the colors and drew on the render some details like the soda machine and the racing arcade. I drew my characters and animated them frame by frame in procreate. 

 

For the post-production, I used some blurs and camera Shake in after Effects and free arcade sounds. 

 

This production was inspired by the mixed media style of The Amazing World of Gumball. Hope you liked it, feel free to comment and share.

Estos personajes los he dibujado en múltiples ocasiones, comenzando por la conductora del arcade de carreras Clem-Engine. Originalmente creada para mi proyecto universitario lemon’s arcade, para el cual modelé en maya una sala arcade. Los chicos skater son de otra ilustración que hice hace un tiempo y la chica de cabello rosa es de un tutorial de pintura digital (también fue inspirada en un tema de mi amigo Daniel Riascos de @theboisprod llamado “Stardust”)

Me gusta pensar que mis personajes podrían interactuar en una especie de universo, usualmente son niños o jóvenes en sitios como este (sala arcade lemon's o un skate park. Quizás todo un vecindario)

 

Me importa mucho que cuenten una historia, que encarnen una personalidad.

 

Para esta pieza reutilicé algunos modelos 3d de máquinas arcade para el escenario. Luego lo texturicé en substance painter e iluminé y rendericé en marmoset toolbag.

 

Después en procreate corregí los colores y dibujé sobre el render algunos detalles como en la máquina de sodas y en el race arcade. Dibujé mis personajes y los animé cuadro a cuadro. 

 

Para la postproducción usé algunos desenfoques y camera Shake en after Effects y sonidos gratis de ambiente arcade. 

 

Esta producción fue inspirada en el estilo del maravilloso mundo de Gumball. Pueden dejar comentarios si quieren :)
