The goal of this project was to design three magazine spreads showcasing an artist or photographer. I chose Vanilla Chi, a New York based Chinese artist, for the focus of my spreads. The body copy is an article about her and her work. I used monotone waterdrop design elements to relate to the tears and water present in this series of her work. I was drawn to the graphic quality of her work, and wanted to play with that through repetition and clean typography.
