Vesuvius Energy drink  branding project

This project was done during the studies. It went trough whole process of ideation. Goal was to create a branding for a energy drink. Complete branding with name and visual was needed.

First I chose the name for a branding and I went for a name of Vesuvius. 

Vesuvius, also called Mount Vesuvius or Italian Vesuvio, is active volcano that rises above the Bay of Naples on the plain of Campania in southern Italy. During the history this volcano was famous for covering city of Pompeii completely and destroying it. Volcanos got huge energy so this seemed like a suitable name for an energy drink.

Next I started to work on the visuals

1st attempts

As the branding was supposed to be around the volcano I started to experiment with the different variations of letter V but there were some trail and errors as for going in with too many details to just not fitting the final result.

Final versions and planning 

Later on I came up with a design of burned out letter V that just looked perfect for the theme. V was stylized to look like it was all burned out by lava and at the same time It associate the fire. I looked up for a different typography solutions and placed them side by side in order to compare them and find the best solution
