Swyp is a mobile line made for the youth , focussing on 15 - 29 year olds. Swyp wanted a refresh and a relaunch of the brand on their digital platforms.

Millennials and Gen Z always have one foot in the real world and the other in the online world, and because of this online community, trends begin to emerge. We see more and more slang words derived from memes, old-school vines and viral videos. Culture is hardly defined by geography anymore; culture is now ruled by the Internet.






Swyp needs to become part of a very particular, online culture in order to become relevant to the target audience. The best way to get Millennials to listen is by breaking the ‘speed of the feed’ on social media with interesting visuals that inserts swyp into ‘Millennial pop culture’. Social media is where most of our target plays and participates in the creation of culture, defining what is cool and what isn’t there for this campaign is very social media focussed. Other elements of the campaign included instagram stories, digital banners, youtube pre roll ads and a microsite.
