The logo and identity were hand-done and then taken to Adobe Illustrator for finishing.
The hand-done essence of the work is reflected throughout the exhibit.
The Project
Knowledge about the universe is fascinating and continuously expanding. This thesis project aimed to provide an informative narrative of our universe. Furthermore, it aspires to ignite curiosity in the viewer as they walk through an exhibit space. The aim of this project is to help people experience the wonder and awe of space through interpretative work.
The exhibit aimed to provide an informative and interactive narrative of our universe, which was the experience of travelling away from Earth. The different sights that would be encountered in this travel were illustrated along a distance and time line. Thus informative and interpretative visuals would be viewed walking along the exhibit.

A narrative could be read on the top of labels at each stage. Under the fold out, further factual information could be found.
Animations were played on loop through two peep holes in the exhibit wall.
The Earth
This is where we live. This is our planet.
There are 7 billion of us here, and the
numbers are increasing every day.
The Moon
We reach our moon and we see the
footsteps some of us have left on
it’s alien terrain.
Solar System
We can look back now and see our
Solar System at this distance
including our home planet.

This spacecraft has been travelling
with greetings from us, to any beings
that might ever find it.
Milky Way
As we leave this river of stars,
our sun has become a tiny speck
in this great galaxy.
The illustration could be rotated manually and viewed from all four sides
Strange and wonderful sights surround us now
where we have ventured so far away from our home.
Galaxies and nebulas, and the faint sound of
a supernova explosion in the distance drums
on the fabric of space time.
There is no telling what we might encounter in this wilderness.

Where there are dark threats in the
universe, there are also some beautiful
sights which glow with the light of a
thousand new born stars.

While we move away from our home,
time by our clocks loses meaning.

Beginning of the Universe
Here is where we encounter the beginning of
everything. Yet, nothing existed at this point.
But whatever came after has now become

everything that we have in the universe.
This space represented the beginning of time, visualizing a contradiction. The space was small and congested representing the idea that everything in the universe was once packed at a single point. The expanse of everything was represented by the continous chain reflection that was created in the mirrors, to allow the viewer to see infinite selfs.
