WGTI published a print ad in the IIT Shaastra magazine which was essentially a hiring ad focusing on how working in WGTI is a 'once-in-a-lifetime' experience. Just as viewing the northern lights continue to remain in everyone’s bucket list, similarly, working at WGTI is also on the bucket list of aspiring techies of India.
This was translated into a visual with the use of their logo unit - the Walmart Spark - scaled up, symbolizing the scale of innovation, aiming for a 'larger than life' aspirational tone. The world of opportunities that WGTI offers to aspirants was visually represented by having a blue galaxy glow alongside the Spark.
An additional gimmick added to the advertisement was a dog-eared fold that would undoubtedly grab the reader's attention, cueing the reader to take a look at the ad and scan the QR code leading to the company's website.
The below option was the inital design that was created to give the feel of the stars and the universe but the client was particular about not wanting to tweak the Walmart Spark.
