In 2016 US President Barack Obama arrived in Kenya, making history as the first sitting American leader to visit the East African country. He also notched another record, becoming the first American leader to visit Ethiopia and the African Union headquarters in Addis Ababa. The last time Kenyans got this excited about Barack Obama, he had just been voted into office. Six years on he made his much anticipated visit to his father's homeland.
