Transubstantiation
In this ritual design named "Transubstantiation", I collect materials from my own body to embody the process of purification. By borrowing the concept of Eucharist, I try to imagine perfection through animalistic behavior i.e. "to trogein" (to crunch or gnaw).
I, collect myself, purify myself, consume myself, and attain my “perfection”. Is my defilement diluted? Am I close to holiness or immortality?
I consume my ideal of perfection - the purified me, stripped of the materiality of cultural identity.
