CMU hired an artist to create this wild vector art of the university's beloved tartan swatch. It's incredible but difficult to use. The file is huge, and the massive illustration, whilst beautiful, has limited uses on the web.

So I redrew a simplified version on a grid in Illustrator using straight lines.

And as a SVG, it's animatable!
