Idea Consultants is a financial consulting firm whose field of activation is integrated accounting, tax, and consulting services for businesses and organisations in the private and public sector. They handle tax, accounting, labor, and organisational problems an entity may face while also providing economic and technical studies, business and investment plans. The brief called for a corporate gift for their clients and associates.
The design was developed around the concept of "perfecting an idea" by using the circle to represent the perfect, complete shape. The five notebooks each feature an incomplete circle on their covers, communicating the concept of an incomplete idea either by gaps in the elements that form the circle or by deforming its form. On the back cover, a solid, complete circle references the fact that the firm can aid its clients in perfecting any idea. The recipients can fill the 188-page blank notebooks with notes and ideas, utilising them as agendas and thus creating their idea book. The company's presence on the item is subtle, hinting at their manner of operation as silent and efficient partners to any organisation. The typographical treatment, set in Aeonik Pro communicates the completion of a word, concept or idea.
