Archduke Franz Ferdinand of Austria

His assassination in Sarajevo precipitated Austria-Hungry's declaration of war against Serbia. This caused the Central Powers (including Germany and Austria-Hungry) and the Allies of WW1 to declare war on each other, starting World War 1.
