The following is a selection of projects I have completed over the last 2 years, starting with my most recent window display and accompanying short film, working through to my first attempt at stop-motion, along with other creative pieces along the way.

The Savoy Cinema
Christmas Short & Window Display
After making a similar display for another cinema, The Savoy Cinema commissioned me to make a window display with the aim to incorporate as much of the local community as possible. They were also keen to include some cinema 'greats' - including a certain memorable penguin...
Below are some of my concept sketches and scale drawings used when designing the models.
The project culminated with a Christmas short, combining live action and stop motion. This video was filmed over 2 days, one day on location at the Savoy and another in a makeshift home 'studio'. The video has been played before each film at the run up to Christmas at The Savoy, with enthusiastic feedback from the local community and businesses.
Unfortunately because of time restraints I couldn't do any reshoots, so there are definite flaws in this video I'd love to improve if I could, but the feedback from Heaton Moor has been positive and encouraging.
I wanted to capture some of the magic of escapism that comes with trips to the cinema at Christmas time and here is the final result.

Business visuals
Over the past year I have grown a small hobby into a part-time job for myself. Completing displays at my local cinema and visuals for local businesses. The work can range from simple menu writing to a large scale mural.
I get a real joy from adapting my own style to the environment of the business and their aims, so that the owner and their customers are happy.
Here is a selection of work I've completed in the last year.
"The Windmill"
A Lockdown concept animation project
Working with a script writer, who has also directed and produced shorts themselves, we decided to pass our time during a national lockdown over Zoom calls planning an animation short in case we ever had time or a budget to make it happen!
This was a great opportunity to work with an individual who has experience in film and help turn their script into storyboards. I also started making some set designs and working out a full materials budget.
Paintings
After studying art at A-levels I have always been painting in some form, for a while I was doing a lot of commissioned pet portraits as they always prove popular. However more recently I have tried to focus on developing my own landscape painting style.
The last 3 paintings are part of my most recent series, all of locations in Brighton/Sussex and have exhibited or sold in a local gallery.
The Ritz Cinema
First attempt at stop motion
This was a project no one really asked for, I just had a desire to make this model and video to see how well I could jump into something new and different. It was well received by the cinema and local town, and I hope offered some joy during last years Christmas lockdown.
As with the Savoy video, there are plenty of flaws I've noted, but for a first attempt at stop-motion I learnt a lot and thoroughly enjoyed the experience.
