Tropicalia
Tropicalia is a California based "all things tropical" festival, celebrating the best of Latin, Caribbean and African cultures. It blends traditional rhythms with new groundbreaking sounds from the new era in "a movement of subversion and beauty, with a vivid, multi-disciplinary blossom of music, arts and food."
Inspired by the Brazilian artistic movement of the same name, the utopian festival's visual identity is unique and peculiar, portraying the idea of "beautiful chaos." Vibrant colors, decorative typography and the artistic combination of photography and graphic elements for imagery gives the design a bit of a kitschy vibe fit for an exhibition that aims to revolutionize culture as much as the Tropicalia movement did. Tropical graphic elements and photos are used throughout the design and the generous use of bright colors encapsulate the summer atmosphere the festival wanted their audience to experience.
