Amazing Animals Toucan

Amazing Animals Project: Toucan
The Amazing animals project consisted of four sections including the encyclopedia, logo, gesture, and transformation drawing as shown below. These were to be seen as if they would belong in a children's story book.
Encyclopedia:
In order to create my encyclopedia drawing I used transfer paper to and my photo reference to get the outline of the Toucan. Then I shaded and added detail to the bird in order for it to be as realistic as possible.
Logo:
To the right of the screen incudes my logo sketches, my process with these were to make them as simple as I possibly could because I think the best logos are simple. As you can see I went with design number 12. The idea of this logo was to be able to still identify the animal even when shrunken down to 1X1 as you can see in the middle.
Gesture:
The primary purpose of a gesture drawing is to capture the true essence of what you are drawing. I chose to do a singular lone drawing because I feel as if it captures how simple strong and powerful a Toucan is and I feel as if this drawing portrays that.
Transformation:
The purpose of this transformation drawing was to transform the animal into something different or something that makes sense with the animal. As you can see in the photo of the Toucan on the right you can see how colorful the beak is. So I decided to embody the beauty and color in the beak I would transform the beak into crayons to bring the color back into a colorless drawing.
