Swimming app for iWatch
Business requirement/concept: Design a wearable app for swimmers where you can track their exercise, heart beat, laps, duration, calories burned. The app should link to a mobile version with more detailed overview of a swimmer’s data. Include a training plan for different levels of swimmers, ability to share data challenges, and training plans with swimming buddies.

The process began with wireframing, which helped to establish basic requirements and consider how data could be displayed on both the phone and wearable device. This included exploring ways for swimmers to compete with each other and view final results data. The next step was to design the UI elements, considering how they could potentially look, behave, and interact. During the visual design phase, I chose colors inspired by the swimming industry.
Designing for a very small screen, such as the iWatch, was a challenge, as it required careful consideration of what data should be displayed on the watch versus on the iPhone. To overcome this obstacle, I had to deeply understand the project's requirements and explored in the wireframe stage to determine where the elements should be positioned. Another challenge was ensuring inclusivity for individuals with slight visual impairments by selecting the appropriate colors. The team addressed this challenge by exploring contrasting colors with a darker background. To further promote inclusivity for visually impaired individuals, the team also considered the implementation of a voice assistance feature for those who are blind, especially when they are out of the water and ready to practice or compete with another swimming buddy who is also blind.
