PROJECT BRIEF
To design a hybrid hotel which located at Jalan Bulan, off, 55100 Jalan Bukit Bintang Kuala Lumpur.
PROBLEM STATEMENT
Nowadays, Young generations are mostly clueless when it comes traditional games. It is because of technology such as telephones, tablets, and others. It could also have one big negative impact on child development. And some Malaysians themselves also do not really know about their own culture and make their culture unknown to their own citizens.
CONCEPT STATEMENT
The design concept was inspired by weaving. weaving is the process of crossing one group of threads, the weft, with the second group of threads. Most Malaysian craft using the weaving method such as furniture, glove, accessories, etc. therefore, the keywords extracted from the weaving are intertwine, malleable, and alignment.
First, the word intertwine comes from weaving characteristic. Therefore, the space design will overlapping each floor. Second, the word malleable comes from the material used, which is flexible so it is easy to bend. This word can use as curved bends. Finally, finally, the word alignment comes from the arrangement of weaving patterns. alignment is represented as the equivalent of traditional and modern style design. Overall, this concept will create a geometric touch of Malaysian culture and a modern interior environment.
