布宫神圣而古朴优美，独具藏族艺术风格，《布宫八景图》以艺术手法再现布达拉宫的八个经典场景，对于向大众而言，它有着最直观的视觉印象。亦不到布宫，也可身临其境。
构图灵感来自于实地摄影，画面追求形式感的发现与创作，诸如几何形态、留白、三角构图等等。
颜色则是根据布宫的实地色彩印象：布宫整体的红与白，到了金顶则是金光灿灿。在藏传佛教中，越往高处越发神圣，金顶则是布宫最高最神圣庄严之地。因此画面采取了红白黄三色，红色是霓虹色的色彩倾向不同明度的红，提高纯度，区分形体，以至于提高视觉效果；白色加以辅助；黄色则用于画面的点睛之处，以兹彰显金色的高贵之地位。
构成除布宫固有建筑之外，还有一些藏区动物，可谓“万物有灵”，动物在增加故事性和趣味性的同时，还可以避免纯粹建筑所致的呆板感。
除彩色版外，还有黑色版，黄色描边线条，凸显高级感，仿照浮世绘形制，配以噪点，以有版画复古之感。
