I captured these shots on my recent trip to Reykjavik, Iceland.

It really is a different landscape to anywhere on earth and has an almost apocalyptic, lifeless feel adding to its out of this world character. In contrast, the city of Reykjavik has lots of character and colour injected into its streets and buildings.

The country has a very friendly atmosphere with a love and connection to the land they live on. There is also an embedded focus on sustainability and using the earths power to fuel their future.
The Svartsengi Power Station Located next to the popular wonder of the world, Blue Lagoon.
The Sun Voyager sculpture located on Reykjavik’s waterfront.
Reykjavik’s Hallgrímskirkja church designed by Guðjón Samúelsson, the first Icelander to be educated in architecture.
The famous Geysir’s
Gullfoss Waterfall
The Friðheimar farm produces over 25% of Icelands tomato produce.
Looking at the lava fields, formed only a couple months ago from the volcano Fagradalsfjall.
