The Alpha Beta Book
Experimental Typography
The Alpha Beta book is a project that pays homage to my culture. As being haft Greek I wanted to showcase their alphabet. The Greek alphabet is one of the oldest scripts. The inspiration for it was ancient pillar designs and grape leafs. The overall look of the design was to showcase how old the culture is. This was achieved by using a neutral colour palette and rough textures. Without the design looking to dated I felt that an illustrative approach would help achieve it. Leaving white space inside the book also helped enhance the design to make it look more updated and sophisticated.
