Soska is a compact bar with reasonable prices located in the Podil neighborhood in Kyiv. They serve wine and some popular cocktails from the taps. That feature gave the name to the place since the barmen call a tap with the alcohol drink “soska” (soother) in their professional slang.
You can identify the entrance to Soska by a pink pergola that joins to the building façade. The bar contains two small spaces located on the two floors.
The ground floor is the place where they pour drinks, cook snacks, and showcase goods. The Wine Machine with the taps on the bar counter allows pouring beverages fast. A wider range of exquisite wines is stored on the bottle shelves. During the warm season when the terrace is working, the counter with the wine machine can be moved outside.
There are seating places on the first floor. It is designed with a rustic vibe, the floor and walls are covered with old wooden boards with light sources behind them. It resembles how the sun reaches inside a hayloft or barn. Except for the bar setting, there is a podium with a low table and trestle beds where the small company can seat. There is also a DJ place there.
The bar is located on the bustling street in one of the most active Kyiv districts where parties, concerts, and other events take place. Soska is the pre-party bar where the guests come to have a glass of wine or a cocktail and dive into a relaxing Podil mood.
