Project Background

Learning the principles of design is like learning the language of design. My objective was to create five effective black and white ink illustrations to show my understanding of the principles of design.

Process

This was the most brainstorming I had ever done, but at the end of it all, I have learned to appreciate this step. At this point in the project I was still learning the principles of design.

Final Ink Illustrations

This was my very first time using ink in a project. I learned the fundamental skills of accurate measurement, sketching, inking, and cleanup. It was difficult at first, but once I got started, I felt more confident. These are successful because they clearly employ the design principles.
