This project was completed for Raster Graphics I at Ivy Tech Community College. It was awarded the Best of Jury in the poster category at Ivy Tech's Fall 2021 Visual Communications Juried Competition.

Deforestation Poster. 2021

The objective was to create a poster on the topic of climate change using Adobe Photoshop. The subject I chose to focus on was deforestation. I started by defining a pattern to use with the main text and played with different layouts.

To provide empathy and connection for the viewer, I added a orangutan. This species is critically endangered and affected negatively by deforestation.

I added a background and drop shadow to complete the poster.

As shown above, several colorways and layout options were explored during the creative process.
