The Backpacking Trip

The Backpacking Trip

Scrolling through Instagram seeing all the beautiful pictures adventurous photographers post began to intrigue me. Soon the only thing I would see was reels of people backpacking through mountains that most people will never see in their life, I was not about to be one of those people. Now I am not an expert at backpacking, but my mom loves to take me hiking so close enough...

The one thing you need to know about me is I don't plan ahead, however this trip needed a little more planning out. I started planning 5 days before we would leave.

Day 1: I let everyone know the plan; we where going on a backpacking trip. Where? That was to be determined.
Day 2: Googled what you should bring backpacking.
Day 3: Took a trip to the store for MRE's.
Day 4: Decided where we would go backpacking.
Day 5: Switched where we would go backpacking and headed out.

After a 2 hour drive the six of us stayed the night at a cabin eager for the morning adventure. When the sun rose Saturday morning we began hiking. Six teenagers who had never been on a backpacking trip headed into Loon Lake at the end of September. I would love to tell you about our adventure but what happens in the forest stays in the forest.

However I can tell you this was one of the best experiences in my life. The Mountains where absolutely stunning in the evening and the memories will be everlasting. If six clueless teenagers can go hiking and make it in and out perfectly fine you got this. I highly recommend planning a hiking trip with your adventure buddies as soon as you can!
