The ancient Chinese astrology tells that every year is related to an animal symbol. Some people do believe that animal signs have a real impact on our behavior, luck or other events in the upcoming.
The symbol of 2022 is a tiger! We are so glad to show you our collaboration that celebrates this amazing animal.
Many different illustrators and motion designers created unique tigers for each month of this year. The whole composition was randomly splitted into 12 parts to make one Christmas puzzle. The complexity of the task was to fit the illustration into a certain form and animate the looped story about the tiger within the given time and artistic framework.

The minimalistic palette used in the project matches the colours of the upcoming year of the blue water tiger. The main colours are 4 shades of blue. We also added one main hue for each season of the year. Floral peach colour is used for spring, sunny yellow goes for summer, maple orange is perfect for autumn while mulled wine is for winter.
Winter is on the street. Everything stopped after the holidays. And suddenly something interesting happens outside the window. A tiger named January timidly approached the window to see what was happening.

The idea of this calendar is based on the unique Chinese astrology. Tiger of October represents the culture of this amazing country. It is wearing a traditional Asian conical hat and holding a bamboo leaf. The daytime temperature in this month is still hot. That is why a hand fan can be a very useful accessory in October.
