Custom furniture for a house in L.A.
I was responsible for designing several pieces of furniture and furnishings to inhabitat a house commissioned by a wealthy Californian doctor. The kitchen island's elegance lies in its simplicity and openess. Although sparse, the wrought iron and brass frame provides a solid foundation that creates a strong sense of space beneath. The dining table is that of a reclaimed slab supported by custom cast brass legs. The design of the legs is a modern reinterpretation of the traditional lion's claw. Both are constructed and pictures will follow shortly.
