Decoding Emma Kunz

This project revolves around the sacred geometry in drawings by Swiss researcher Emma Kunz (1892–1963). The drawings are the result of energetic forces which she channeled and recorded. They convey mathematical and spiritual laws of life. Using code as an act of contemplation, I immerse myself in the energy the drawings emit.
When I confront a drawing, it feels secretive, even deceiving.  I have to observe it closely before I can begin to unlock it. Analysis, intuition and my subconscious, work together to uncover the full depth of the answer. My output is two-fold:
1. A generic visualisation, revealing otherwise unseen levels of organisation and patterns of complexity, and further expanding our perception. I see these as vehicles of experiencing the original drawing.
2. As I work, I depart from the original by introducing errors. New compositions occur, that are both surprising, beautiful and telling in their departure from the divine answer. I consider these, complementary output and works in their own right.
