When I was working as yamadina's Graphic designer, I got to work on rebranding the HalalRoommate project
 

and I got to do a full branding and work on different mediums

 

The Mandate of this project was to rebrand HalalRoommate; an online platform that offers lodgement service for muslim students in Montreal. The design revolves around two objects used by roommates at home ;the white board that roommates write notes on and the post-it. The arabic font was created for the word Halal as a hybrid between english san serif with round edges to give a friendly feel and arabic 

calligraphy that’s used in muslim scripts, while the hand written font resembles the hand writing of a roommate. The grey replaced the black in the old logo to give a friendlier feel to the logo.The controversial comic sans font was chosen for it’s messiness and irreverent feel.
