México Territorio Creativo presented Vision and Tradition for the first time at the London Design Fair. The exhibition shows a selection of collaborative pieces between designers and local artisans resulting from DWM's Vision and Tradition residency program, which takes place every year in different regions of Mexico with the intention of promoting the traditional techniques.

So far, Vision and Tradition has worked in 10 states ofMexico with more than 300 artisans who have collaborated with 75 designers of seven different nationalities in more than 20 traditional techniques, and every year the program gets bigger.

"The International Craft Pavilion makes its debut at the London Design Fair, a space that is expanded to receive proposals from around the world and where Peru and Mexico will show their designs... For its part, Mexico Territorio Creativo, through its program of residences Vision and Tradition will show the objects generated from this platform that seeks to unify artisans and designers in a dialogue between traditional Mexican production and contemporary design. México Territorio Creativo (MXTC) is a Mexican non-governmental non-profit organization that brings together and promotes creative production through a local and international network. MXTC promotes the work of contemporary creators and their intersection with different disciplines between architects, designers, artists and artisans, celebrating all facets of the creative process.

Our mission is share and empower socially responsible design as an agent of economic, social and cultural change, which improves the quality of life by promoting innovation and healthy competition.

In 2019 I had the opportunity to coordinate and manage this exhibition by curating the pieces as well as being the link between MXTC, the designers and the London Design Fair, this was the result.
