ABOUT ME

My name is Izarbe Aísa and I am a scientist and scientific illustrator. I have a Bachelor's degree in Genetics and I am currently a PhD candidate from University of Barcelona (UB), in Spain. My work is mainly focused on digital scientific illustration, where I combine the PhD level scientific knowledge with design to produce specialized images for articles, proposals and books. I also have worked in traveling projects, and non-digital illustrations using watercolor, oil and acrylic painting.

What makes me different is that I have an extensive scientific career which allows me to participate in the creative proposal. I can offer suggestions coming from state-of-the-art literature and comprehend data coming from different articles in a single illustration.
