A FISH IN THE PAN IS WORTH TWO IN THE POND

Illustration commissioned by Braga Municipality, to be a featured in the collective exhibition BRAGA 22x22, during the 5th edition of Braga em Risco Illustration Festival, in 2021.
The theme of the exhibition was La Fontaine's Fables, celebrating the 400th birth anniversary of the reknowned French author. The fable I was assigned was "The Fisherman and the Little Fish". The story concerns a small fry caught by a fisherman that begs for its life on account of its small size, suggesting that waiting until it can grow larger would make it a more filling meal. The fisherman refuses, reasoning that it's unwise to give up a present advantage for an uncertain future gain.
