SANA Amsterdam is a premium collagen brand based in Amsterdam, Netherlands with self-care and empathy in its core. Both powder and liquid collagen are derived mainly from fish in the icy Norwegian sea in a constant effort to be as sustainable as possible.

Objective

We were tasked to create from scratch a fresh yet science oriented brand with a range of products that would appeal to the target audience as a new tastier way to 'freeze time'.

Solution

We used clean lines on a minimalistic -almost sterilised- environment highlighting the molecular form of collagen through the logo, the hero icons and other elements. We incorporated embossing on the bottle labels and gradual debossing on the packages respectively, to imitate disappearing wrinkles.

Since the products' names were somewhat similar, in order to differentiate them and avoid confusion we added a numbering system, we designed hero icons that wouldn't be mixed up and added a splash of colour for each sku.

The logo and the hero icons drew inspiration from the collagen fibers and collagen molecular structure as a whole.

In order to showcase the notion of 'freezing' time and anti-aging process, the debossed outlines of the included bottles or sachets respectively are gradually fading. The more collagen is consumed the quicker the wrinkles disappear.
