We climbed the "Paternkofel" in South Tyrol just before sunset. The ascent to the summit can only be reached by a via ferrata. Thick fog hung between the mountain ranges. The last light was shining on the peaks of the mountain range in the foreground and the orange colored larches in the background. The scenario reminded me a lot of scenes from Lord of the Rings. A unique moment that I would not have been able to experience if I had not overcome my fears and doubts to secure my life only by a small harness.
